Book 1 - Falling rain

Prologue

The cat jumped up onto the computer chair. Her human wasn't home. What they mainly did was play together, and enjoy each other's company. But now that she was gone, everything seemed lifeless and dull. But at least she had a place she could call home. Where everything was alive and exciting. All she needed to go there was tranquillity and quiet. It was a good thing that she had everything she needed.

The cat looked around at the scenery. There were the beautiful plains, dotted with flowers and amazing plants. There was the Mountain-Rock, which was a giant spike with paw holds on it, and a 'platform' on it. There was even a beautiful seaside, where the waters were shining crystal clear. On the other side of the plains was a dense forest, where the wild cats lived. This world had so many wonders..

"Lilac! Can you please come here?" a tabby she-cat called, rolling in the plains. "Ok!" Lilac answered. The gray tabby lashed out at Lilac, but luckily Lilac ducked. "Good reflexes! Have you been training in the Normal World?" the tabby asked, licking her paw. Lilac twitched her whiskers. "Perhaps. I've been mostly playing with Ashley." Lilac explained as she began to stretch. The tabby purred. "Ashley is spending time with you a bit more often nowadays. I guess she's lonely."

Lilac blinked. "I don't know Lightning.. She always has to leave for somewhere. That's why I come often. But when she does come back, she usually plays with me or plays on the computer." Lilac explained. Lighting flexed her claws. She leapt onto Lilac's back, pinning her down. "Lilac, I thought I taught you better! Always be alert." Lightning purred.

A yowl sounded from the Mountain-Rock. "That's Duchess. We've gotta go." Lightning mewed, sprinting as fast as a bolt of lightning, hence her name. "Don't treat me like a kitten! I know these things." Lilac purred, rushing after her, without the immense speed or extreme grace. They stopped a in front of the MountainRock. "Darkness is engulping our world! All of our battlers must have their claws sharp, and their strategies too!" Duchess yowled. "We will need to use the Jewels of Unity to repel them!"

Cats were shocked. The Jewels of Unity were 5 precious jewels with a strong magic embedded in them. Eternity, Light, Hail, Magma and Blood. Five cats were chosen every century to be the new users of these jewels. These precious jewels formed when the four chosen cats were created. The cats poured in the power of the Fighting styles into each jewel. All the cats shared the name of their fighting style and jewel.

A white she-cat created the fighting style of Light. She had a pure heart, and most of her blows would knock out, and never kill. Her style was the most common style. She was an excellent fighter, and her intelligence and wits were as sharp as her claws.

Hail, a lilac coloured tom with darker points created the style named after him. The Hail style was known for delivering many quick blows. He probably was the swiftest of the four. He was mates with Light, so their styles are similar, and debates are made saying the styles should merge.

An auburn she-cat created Magma. This style uses extreme stealth by merging with the shadows. The element of surprise is this style's strength. Then the fighter would rake the opponent viciously with their claws, and merge with shadows again.

A black and auburn tom created Blood. This style is known for making weak blows at the start to fool opponents, making them think that the Blood fighters are weak. Then they make vicious blows nothing special. They also use some of the Hail strategy.

Eternity are all the styles combined. All four cats poured all their styles into this jewel, and only the cat who possesses this jewel fights with the style. The user gets boosts in all the styles, and their senses become acute and sharp. Whoever fought with this style was an honourable cat. They'd be wise, intelligent, quick-tempered, and extremely fast.

Lilac got back to her senses. Who would Duchess appoint to the jewels? "I haven't made my decision yet. I will announce it when I am ready, preferably after four days. Everyone is dismissed." Duchess announced. Cats were disappointed. "Aww.. I wanted to know." Lilac complained. "Don't worry, she'll tell us soon.. But stop acting like a kitten!" Lightning purred, twitching her ears with amusement.
